Md Mahmudur Rahman

Raquel Oliver Valls

  • Degree in Industrial Design from Universitat Jaume I.
  • She worked for 6 years designing equipment for the ceramic industry.
  • In 2001 she regained contact with Universitat Jaume I, participating on various projects with research fellowships.
  • Since 2004 she works as Laboratory Technician in the ​​Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering Area, where her work combines support to research with support to teaching.

José Ortega Herreros

  • He works as Technician at Universitat Jaume I since 1995.
  • He is currently a Laboratory Technician in the ​​Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering Area, where his work combines support to research with support to teaching.
  • He has cooperated in several research projects related to powder coatings, corrosion, and control polymers for packaging.
  • He has a thorough knowledge of sample preparation, equipment maintenance, and testing practice.

Former members

Víctor Mendiola Curto

Víctor joined TESLab as 4th-course student of Mechanical Engineering from June to September 2022. He was working in his Final Year Project and internship related to the fabrication of a new instrument to measure thermal conductivity of liquids with a thermoelectric device.

Marc Carbó Feliu

Marc joined TESLab from March to May 2021 as student of 4th course of Mechanical Engineering Degree to perform his Final Year Project, related to the study of degradation phenomena of thermoelectric modules under operating conditions by impedance spectroscopy. Later that year, from November to December, he worked in the Universitat Jaume I project titled “Development of impedance spectroscopy as a new tool to characterise and evaluate the conversion of heat to electricity using thermoelectric devices and Generators”. After completing his Final Year Project, he found a job in the company AMC.

Dr Braulio Beltrán-Pitarch

Braulio was the first PhD student of TESLab. He joined the Thermal and Electrical Systems Laboratory from April 2016 to December 2020. He mainly worked on the development of advanced methods for characterisation of thermoelectric materials and devices (mainly impedance spectroscopy), the identification of new applications for thermoelectric devices, and also collaborated in the preparation and characterisation of solid-liquid thermoelectric systems. He is now doing his postdoctoral studies at DTU (Denmark).

Dr Adrián Mota Babiloni

Adrián joined the Thermal and Electrical Systems Laboratory from January 2020 to August 2020. He was project manager for the UncorrelaTEd project and also provided research support to the TESLab team. He left TESLab to join ISTENER group at Universitat Jaume I to work on refrigeration systems.

Francisco Vidan

Francisco joined the Thermal and Electrical Systems Laboratory from January to December 2019, while he was studying his Master in Industrial Engineering. During his period with us he was involved in the development of new characterisation methods for thermoelectric devices.

Dr. Nuria Vicente Agut

Nuria joined the Thermal and Electrical Systems Laboratory from January to October 2019. She worked on the development of new solid-liquid thermoelectric systems in the OutLattice project. She also completed at that time her PhD at the Institute of Advanced Materials of Universitat Jaume I in the field of energy storage materials. When she left TESLab she continued working at Universitat Jaume I in the area of chemical engineering.

Andrés Castro Bermúdez

Andrés was on his last course of Materials Engineering at the Universidad Simón Bolívar (Venezuela) when he joined the Thermal and Electrical Systems Laboratory from July to December 2018 as an international internship student. He was involved in the development of a new method to measure the thermal conductivity of bulk materials using a thermoelectric device.

David Medall Martos

He joined the Thermal and Electrical Systems Laboratory in December 2017 as student of 4th course in Industrial Technology Engineering at the Universitat Jaume I. David worked during two months in the development of new solid-liquid hybrid thermoelectric devices.
